Concerning cyclic group divisible designs with block size three

We determine a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a cyclic {3}-GDD with a uniform group size 6n. This provides a fundamental class of ingredients for some recursive constructions which settle existence of k-rotational Steiner triple systems completely.

Central Ring Actions and Betti Polynomials

We show that when certain cohomological finiteness conditions hold, then the dimensions of the cohomology groups of modules over a finite dimensional algebra are given by polynomials. This applies in particular to quantum complete intersections, and among these all exterior algebras.

Cyclic Codes from Dickson Polynomials

Due to their efficient encoding and decoding algorithms, cyclic codes, a subclass of linear codes, have applications in communication systems, consumer electronics, and data storage systems. In this paper, Dickson polynomials of the first kind over finite fields are employed to construct a number of classes of cyclic codes. Lower bounds on the minimum weight of some classes of the cyclic codes ...

Ehrhart polynomials of cyclic polytopes

Abstract. The Ehrhart polynomial of an integral convex polytope counts the number of lattice points in dilates of the polytope. In [1], the authors conjectured that for any cyclic polytope with integral parameters, the Ehrhart polynomial of it is equal to its volume plus the Ehrhart polynomial of its lower envelope and proved the case when the dimension d = 2. In our article, we prove the conje...

Alpha-determinant cyclic modules and Jacobi polynomials

For positive integers n and l, we study the cyclic U(gl n )-module generated by the l-th power of the α-determinant det(X). This cyclic module is isomorphic to the n-th tensor space (Sym(C)) of the symmetric l-th tensor space of C for all but finite exceptional values of α. If α is exceptional, then the cyclic module is equivalent to a proper submodule of (Sym(C)), i.e. the multiplicities of se...
